Contestants will be allowed to use the following spearhead:

Competition will consist of: 3 rounds, Onside Rings, Short distance throw/stab with a Long distance throw & the Pickup round.
Onside Ring
The Onside Rings will run as individual rounds. The competitor has 8 3" ring targets in all. The competitor will start at one end of the list and complete two full laps of the list field. Each ring aquired will gain the competitor 2 points each red dot represents a ring target. The competitor must keep moving for the entire 2 laps, walk trot is acceptable However, each target must be obtained at a canter to count.
Total possible points 16.
Short distance Target throw/stab & Long distance target throw
Consists of 2 Spear targets in one round. This round will run as an individual round. The competitor will pick up a spear to start this round, then continue moving during the entire round, walk trot is ok, however targets must be thrown or stabbed at a canter to count. There will be 4 scoring zones on each target, From the outer edge hit, all the way to the bullseye.
The close range Target is first, and will be positioned at the first 1/3 mark of the list lane. This target may be acheived with a stabb or throw. Points scoring 1,2,3, or 4 for a bullseye.The competitor will pick up a 2nd spear at the 2/3 mark of the first lane, The long distance throw is positioned on the other side of the list, 2/3 down the list. However the throw must be released before or on the 1/3 mark on the 2nd lane. Illistrated below with red line. The long distance target from edge to bullseye can score the competitor 2,4,6, or 8 points for a bullseye on the first pass. On the long distance throw only, If the competitor must make a second round to release the throw, the possible scoring points will be cut in half.

Note: no additional points are gained for the spear pickups in this round and they may be obtained at a walk or trot.
Pick up - Round
The pick up will have a spear placed in a stand where the competor must pick it up in the first lane, then proceed to the second lane, where he/she will attempt to stab, and pickup a grapefruit from the ground and hold up vertically. The spear pickup is indicated in the color red below and the grapefruit target is in orange.
Spear pickup, will score the competior 2 points, while the grapefruit will score 8. If a second pass is required, for either obstacle, all points for the round will be cut in half. A third pass will cut the round score in half again.
Total possible points for round 10 on first pass, 5 on second, & 2.5 on 3rd.
