Tournament style: Duel
Victory: strike opponent on head
strike opponent on torso
2 strikes to any limb
First combatant to be defeated in two bouts will loose the round
Combatants will be allowed to loose two rounds before removal from the tournament
Disallowed: grappling
striking with the body
blows to the foot (if foot is lifted from the ground and struck, it will be
counted as a limb shot)
blows to the groin
use of excessive force
striking with the flat, guard, or pommel, of the
sword
arguing with the marshal
dishonorable behavior (discression of the marshal)
- performing a disallowed technique, accidentally or not will result in a warning
and a loss of that bout. If another disallowed technique is used, you will be
removed from the tourney.
-the marshal will call hold after each victory and explain
-blows must land solidly; glancing or strikes that merely touch the opponent
will not be counted
-double kills will be counted as double losses
-if a combatant falls over, they will be allowed to stand
-if a combatant is disarmed, they will be allowed to regain their weapon
-if a combatant is pressed against the list ropes, the marshal may stop the
combat and have combatants recenter
-if the marshal cries "hold", combatants must freeze where they are.
Any blows landed after the hold call are not counted
-combatants may call blows on themselves. They may not call blows on their opponent
-if a piece or armour or a weapon breaks and it can be fixed or replaced quickly
(marshal's discression), the combatant may do so, otherwise the round is forfeit
