Entry Requirements:
All horses are required to have a Coggins, and a health certificate within the last 30 days of competition.
All competitors must present proof of medical insurance.
Qualification: All riders must perform a sitting trot serpentine around the list field, as well as 2 canter laps within the list to qualify for competition. This will be preformed Sunday morning before the competition.
All riders will make an attempt at medieval dress.
General Rules:
(1) All games must be performed at the gait of at least a canter.
(2) The rider will not hit the horse with any weaponry, accidently or on purpose. The first occurance of the offense will be a warning and a penalty, where all points from that round are zeroed. A second occurance within the same competition, will disqualify the rider from that competition.
(3) All weapons will be provided for by the competition: weapon specifications below
Lance: All games will be performed with a 9'lance made of 1 1/4" hardwood round dowel (available at Home Depot) capped with a copper end cap on the strikeing end -with a hand grip no more than 2 feet from butt end of the lance.
Spear: Contestants will be allowed to use the following spearhead: Viking spear
Sword: Contestants will be allowed to either of the following brands of sword for both competitions:
Single Hand Practice Broadsword
Hand and a half Practice sword
